Glass by Kaye - Kalene Lockhart, Artist
Lockhart's fascination with glass began when she bought an exquisite blue fused glass pendant while on a trip to Hawaii. Determined to learn how it was made, she bought a book and took a class. After many books, more classes, and abundant equipment, not to mention an excess of band aids, she still loves working with glass, saying "it is a challenge to take a couple of flat, sharp pieces of glass and turn them into a beautiful work of art." Having grown beyond the jewelry which originally caught her attention, Lockhart's work now includes more practical, yet beautiful items such as bowls, plates, suncatchers, Christmas pieces, and anything else that catches her eye!
