Anne Lindeke - BIRD ON A WIRE STUDIO, LLC
Six years ago I put my hands in clay and found I couldn’t leave. Working as a potter is an exercise in trust and has a way of becoming one’s life - it became mine. A potter once said "I like clay, I like clay a lot." That says it all for me!
My work is both functional and fun and is made mostly of a high fire porcelain. Porcelain because it is delightful to throw and provides an amazing surface for color. Besides the familiar mugs and bowls, I hand build free forms that lend themselves to unique and imaginative uses. They are especially interesting when used outside, in a garden or in landscaping.
